Ford’s Grand Mainer is a roll I created a few years ago that brings my two favorite seafoods together: chilled lobstah meat and crispy whole belly clams. The Grand Mainer combines cold and hot in one roll that makes you think you are sitting on Casco Bay in Portland Maine.

It also solves a dilemma for anyone who can’t decide between ordering the Lobstah Roll (with freshly steamed and chilled lobstah) or the Clam Roll (with flash-fried whole belly clams). Now, you don’t have to choose, you can get them together in one roll!

I created this roll to be available in both the standard size and the jumbo foot-long. I got the idea for the foot-long roll when we competed in our first Lobstah Rumble in New York City. I saw someone wearing a shirt that said “Home of the Foot-Long Lobster Roll.” I liked the idea, but I wanted to put our own spin on it, so instead of just using lobstah for the roll, I added the whole belly clams and created the Grand Mainer.

Each correct answer via a Facebook comment on the post counts as one entry for the drawing. One winner will be randomly selected at the end of the contest to win a $100.00 Ford’s Fish Shack gift card. We will announce the winner on December 27, 2018.
